Holy cow, were we busy today. Mom and Dad brought the cycle down last night for the first long trip of the year. We didn't tell the kids that they were coming so what a surprise it was for them. We woke the kids up this morning, and tried to find breakfast. Let me tell you TRIED was the operative word. after driving all around town we finally settled on Sonic at around ten.
Then was the Sayre parade. This was our first year to go, and it was quite an experience. It was the alumni parade which was kind of funny. There were some fun things going on. After the parade Mom and Dad headed home, cause it still really cold after the sun goes down. We let the kids catch a quick power nap then we headed to Canute for the Easter Egg Hunt.
We felt kinda guilty being there. The reason that we decided on Canute's was due to the fact that a few of Jason's friends are from there and swore that it is the best egg hunt around. It was. It was a lot of fun.
Kelsi created a new sport, my little wall flower went absolutely crazy. It became more of a game of tackle football/lacrosse, and less egg hunt. Kenzi just kept walking around looking lost. I think that she got a total of 3 eggs. Before she would pick a single one up she would look at me like am I supposed to be getting stuff off of the ground? It was fun to watch them.
Jason took Bo to the little kids hunt. By the time we made it back to their area they were picking up the last egg. But, we got to see Bo with Daddy in hand walking to the next egg, lean over to pick it up and put it in his own basket. It was SO.CUTE. I wanted to just tell everyone, you see that precious baby. HE.IS.MINE.
The kids made out like bandits. Between the parade candy and what was in their eggs they came home with enough sweets to rot a handful of teeth. Canute's hunt is really good they give out little slips of paper in the eggs, and have GOOD prizes at the end. Bo won himself a new wagon.
Due to all of the other kids running around I did not get as many pics as I wanted. So after we came home Jason and I put the kids down for a nap and hid the eggs that the kids dyed yesterday. That way mom would have a chance to get some fun pics.
All in all it was a great weekend. I'm going to finish this up and get ready for church so that in the morning we can get out the door in time.
